David Burnett, MD
David is a senior managing director and principal of Hunter Partners. For Hunter Partners, David's responsibilities include development and direction of the firm's clinical performance improvement initiatives. David is especially experienced in providing consulting services to academic medical centers and other large healthcare organizations. Prior to joining Hunter Partners, David was Senior Vice President of the University HealthSystem Consortium, an alliance of over one hundred major academic medical centers. In this role Dr. Burnett worked with faculty group practices associated with UHN institutions on practice development, hospital/physician integration, and managed care issues. Previously, David was an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Nebraska.
James Houser
Jim is a senior managing director and principal of Hunter Partners. For Hunter Partners, Jim's responsibilities include providing engagement oversight and direction, selected interim CEO assignments and business development. Recently, Jim served for Hunter Partners as the interim chief executive officer of Covenant Health System, a member of the St. Joseph Health System, achieving significant performance and other improvements. Jim brings to Hunter Partners extensive experience as a senior executive in Catholic Healthcare. Prior to joining Hunter Partners, He served as Ascension Health Ministry Market Leader – Nashville/Birmingham and President/Chief Executive Officer for Saint Thomas Health Services.
David Hunter
David Hunter is senior managing director and principal of Hunter Partners. For Hunter Partners, David's responsibilities include providing engagement oversight and business development. Among other positions prior to his current position, David was chairman, founder, and the original impetus behind the development of The Hunter Group, the industry-leading healthcare performance improvement and interim management firm. In addition to leading The Hunter Group, first as president and then as Chairman, David personally directed The Hunter Group's most complex projects involving academic medical centers, public hospitals, large systems, networks, HMOs and large medical group practices. He has been credited with leading-edge undertakings, including development of regional networks, innovative structured relationships between the public and private sector, integration of providers and payers, sustainable system-wide performance improvements and strategic positioning.
Michael Loscalzo
Michael is senior managing director and principal of Hunter Partners, where his responsibilities include providing engagement direction and financial consulting services, and selective CEO/CFO interim assignments. Michael is a senior healthcare executive with significant operations and finance experience, including extensive experience in running, restructuring and reconfiguring healthcare organizations. Prior to Hunter Partners, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania, an affiliate of Catholic Health East. Michael was also a principal in The Hunter Group, where he participated in some of the firm's larger turnarounds.
Howard Watts
Howard is senior managing director and principal of Hunter Partners, with responsibilities including engagement oversight and direction, and selected interim CEO assignments. Recently, Howard served for Hunter Partners as Interim CEO at St Vincent's Health Care in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to joining Hunter Partners, Howard was Executive Vice President at Catholic Health East, where he had responsibility for $3.9 billion in operations. Howard has more than 30 years experience as a senior healthcare executive, including more than 15 years in Catholic Health, with roles as CEO of large systems and hospitals. Early in his career Howard was a principal in The Hunter Group, working on some of the largest turnarounds in the firm's history as well as serving as interim CEO for Hunter Group clients.
Alan Chapman
Alan is a managing director of Hunter Partners and brings over 25 years of experience as a finance executive responsible for effective financial systems and operations for large for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals and health systems. He is experienced in developing comprehensive performance improvement plans and merger assessments, and completing acquisition due diligence. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System, Inc. Prior to this, he was Vice President and Operations Controller for IASIS Healthcare Corporation.
Michael Schwartz
Mike is a managing director of Hunter Partners and brings over 30 years of consistently successful experience in all aspects of the evolving healthcare delivery system. He has managed small and large facilities in both union and non-union settings. Mike provides a demonstrated ability to achieve and maintain fiscal integrity, operational efficiency, and superior employee, physician and patient satisfaction. Most recently, Mike served as interim CEO for Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, NJ. Engaged by Meridian Health, one of the nation's top 100 health systems, he led the integration of Bayshore into the Meridian family. Previously he served for ten years as President and CEO for Prince William Health System in Manassas, VA.
Beverly Weber
Bev is a managing director of Hunter Partners and brings extensive experience in healthcare operations design, cultural transformation, system integration, turnaround management, service line rationalization, staff and department reorganization, cost management and expense reduction. Prior to joining Hunter Partners, Bev was Chief Operations Officer and VP Clinical Effectiveness for Saint Thomas Health Services in Nashville, Tennessee. Previously, she was Market President/Senior Vice President Operations for Vanguard Health Systems after having served in positions of progressive responsibility for Vanguard Health System's MacNeal Health Network including President/CEO and Chief Nursing Officer.
Robert Linderman
Bob is a managing director of Hunter Partners with a consistent record of selling and delivering operational and financial improvement projects for clients across multiple industries. Most recently he was a Client-Partner in Accenture's Health and Life Sciences Practice. Previously he was an Officer at Gemini Consulting (Capgemini), and later CSC Index and PricewaterhouseCoopers. At PwC he developed a large account marketing strategy for the newly combined company, and had account leadership responsibility for three of PwC's largest accounts.
James Northam
Jim is a managing director of Hunter Partners. He is a versatile consulting executive with 40 years of experience in the high technology and business process consulting arenas. He led multiple industry practices at Capgemini; and as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, was a key member of the partner team which launched the PWC Client Relationship Management Program. He specializes in developing strong relationships with client executives, identifying critical issues and proposing solutions, and expanding relationships with existing clients.
Mark Thompson
Mark, a managing director of Hunter Partners, is a technology executive with deep marketing experience. He is experienced in creating new venture revenue via acquisitions and alliances. As Vice President of Marketing for Dell's Small & Medium Business division, he was responsible for over $8 billion in revenue and a doubling of market share. Previously he served as a General Manager at Microsoft and served as CEO of a Carlyle Group portfolio company; in addition, he was a Senior Consultant at Boston Consulting Group.
